Outreach

The Coos Food Cupboard, run by Emmanuel volunteers and others from the community, serves thousands of hungry people each year.  Emmanuel donates space to the Food Cupboard and helps support its mission through donations of food, time, talent and money.

All Saints’ Columbarium, in Emmanuel’s Chapel, was established in November 1990, and is licensed by the Oregon State Mortuary and Cemetery Board.  The niches are designed to hold the cremains of departed members and families of Emmanuel Parish.

Christmas Baskets, a program started 20 years (as of 2021) ago to provide families in our community with some extra help during Christmas.  Each of the schools are contacted and asked to identify 3 families most in need of assistance.  These families are then provided with household staples, a special toy for each child, stockings, blankets, warm clothing and books.  In 2020, this program began including a holiday meal box that included a ham or turkey and the traditional accruements.
